Mission
At REST, we are committed to driving the transformation of the social economy and livelihoods in Tigray. Our mission is to enhance resilience, sustainability, and climate change adaptation while promoting economic growth and prosperity for the future.
Vision
Our vision is to create a future where every individual experience security, well-being, and equitable access to human rights and a decent standard of living. We envision a society where development opportunities are accessible, fostering prosperity and benefits for everyone.
Strategy
SO1: Ensure Survival and Meet Basic Needs
We are dedicated to ensuring individuals’ survival and meeting their basic needs. This includes providing essential resources such as food, water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), protection, shelter, and non-food items (NFI).
SO2: Improve Health and Nutrition
We strive to enhance household members’ health and nutritional status, promoting overall community well-being and vitality.
SO3: Strengthen Protection and Support
We are committed to strengthening protection and support for survivors of armed conflict, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups such as children, women, and adolescent girls.
SO4: Restore and Enhance Livelihoods
We aim to restore and enhance household livelihoods, fostering resilience and facilitating the expansion of the local economy for sustained growth and prosperity.
SO5: Develop Natural Resource Base
We aim to restore and develop the natural resource base, including soil, water, and vegetation infrastructure, to support sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation efforts.
SO6: Restore Local Service Delivery Systems
We work towards restoring local service delivery systems and functions, ensuring communities have access to essential services for their well-being and development.
